BSOD - coming soon to a car near you

As if Ford needed any more trouble, their cars are going to stop on the road while their computer software crashes and replaces the windshield with a blue screen of death. Or perhaps the car will just stop for a reboot after a 'windows genuine advantage' aka 'people using this product are thieves' update. I assume that the software will be hacked within 5 minutes of release and the cars driven to Mexico automatically when the dealers are not watching.

Why oh why did they not partner with some linux company?

dis is like a joke i read a long time ago..

Ford meets Gates and dey are talking
Gates says if you used windows your cars would go at lighting speed.. could be updated every x hours, they'd be user friendly etc etc

Ford says.. yeah and it would crash once every five minutes :)

yeah lova it's master plan that the indians at microsoft concocted to get driving outsourced as well ;) we control US drivers, we control the world.

onkar - knight rider / the hoff type solutions will also be available in this venture.

isha - yeah i remember that one, there was a whole series of things.

anali - as long as we have manual override and terminators that can be reprogrammed to sent back in time to stop this menace from ever happening we will be ok!

Do you think that Ford could handle a virus like the Bird flu?!?! :-)

Ranjit said...

only if the bird carrying the flu came and hit the windshield while the car is running. I think it's more likely that Ford will have to handle the bird poop landing from the sky.
