Fire exit

Sign says fire exit. There's a table, a lock and wooden bar on the door. Goodbye to everyone if there is a fire.

Reminds you of some Cinema halls in India. Remember the Uphaar Cinema trajedy in Delhi in which so many people died.

That was really bad, hope the fire awareness / safety has increased in buildings now. The US is fairly obsessive about it and usually public places are inspected regularly. Don't know why this restaurant where the photo was taken was this bad.

U guys got it wrong- they would have just meant 'if someone needs a light, they can exit from wherever they are and come in to that room!'.

As they say in mallu "Oru 'thee'petti undo sakhaavey , oru beedi edukkan" :)... "Comrade, do u have a match{thee(fire)- petti(box)} on you, for me to take a beedi out"

ha that's probably true, wish it was a 'vodka exit'.

I think this picture belongs next to "irony" in the dictionary!
